An Iron Cross paty constructed of bronze, the obverse bears the nsignia of the Imperial Navy, a crowned anchor and cipher W for Wilhelm, surrounded by a laurel wreath, with the cross arms bearing the inscription Zur See Unbesiegt Im Felde (Undefeated in the Sea), the reverse bears the Reichskriegsflagge (model 1903 1921), framed by a laurel wreath, above that, on the upper cross arm, is the Flemish lion, on the two
