Constructed of silvered bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon with Luftwaffe device, consisting of a Cross Patte with pebbled arms, the obverse bearing a central raised Heer style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, the reverse bearing a central raised number 18, unmarked, measuring 36. 34 mm (w) x 40. 47 mm (h), weighing 14. 8 grams, accompanied by its period
