Venezuela, Republic. An Order Of The Liberator, Iii Class Star GTRexclude The “blade” and “crossguard” are(Orden del Libertador). Instituted in 1880. Likely of French manufacture, in silver, oval centrepiece bearing the Venezuelan coat of arms, mounted to an eight pointed star base, each star point with five faceted rays, measuring 74 mm (w) x 83 mm (h), vertical pinback flanked by dual prongs, light contact, near extremely fine. Footnote: The Order of the Liberator was instituted on September 14, 1880 and awarded for meritorious services to the country
