She then cuts shapes freehand with a rotary cutter, allowing her to engage in a direct dialog with her materials. Finally, she adds stitching lines, whose texture adds dimension and tactile energy to each piece. "Jumping Beans" is part of a series of minimalist designs that focus on large shapes and the negative space between them.
