Swords like this were used between the 9th and 12th century all over Europe. This type of sword is one of the most excavated types of medieval swords. It has a length of 91 cm with a blade of 79 cm and a max. width of 4,2 cm. The blade is made of carbon steel with a hardness of approx. 52 HRC. The grip is made of wood and wrapped round with leather. The sword weighs approx. 1250 g.
