A gold vermeil sphere floats below a larger oxidized silver open sphere. The two units are connected on a 14k white gold wire. The gold sphere comes off the bottom of the earring to put the earring on as a french back earring, then the sphere pushes securely back on to complete the look and ensure that the earring cannot be accidentally lost.
